HomeAdvisor Acquires a Majority Stake in Field Service Management Software, Mhelpdesk

GOLDEN, Colo. and FAIRFAX, Va., Sept. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — HomeAdvisor, a leading marketplace for connecting homeowners with local home service professionals and an operating business of IAC (NASDAQ: IACI), announced today that it has acquired a majority stake in Mhelpdesk, a cloud-based workflow application that helps small to medium-sized field service businesses streamline their operations. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Mhelpdesk is innovating the way that small to medium-sized field service businesses manage their operations. Their software provides field service management solutions including scheduling, work orders, job tracking and invoicing. Mhelpdesk has grown at an accelerating rate over the past 12 months, adding over 1,000 new businesses per month. The software will be available to HomeAdvisor service professional members as part of a membership package starting in January 2015.
